Why is a Psychiatrist important?

Mental health is fundamental to overall health and productivity. It is the basis for successful contributions to family, community, and society. Throughout a person's lifespan, their mental health plays a key role in the development of thinking, learning, resilience, self-esteem, and communication skills. When one or more of these skills have been compromised, visiting a psychiatrist is typically a good idea. "Mental health problems are real and disabling conditions that are experienced by one in five Americans", according to the Surgeon General’s report on Mental Health: Culture, Race and Ethnicity.

At Pain Relief Associates, Dr. Laura Champagne provides the highest quality of care for all her patients. Along with her devotion to continued education on the field of Psychiatry, she has over 20 years of experience she utilizes to prevent and treat mental disorders and conditions.
